Turkey and Japan Economic Relations Through Japanese Modernization

Özet

When the historical processes are examined in a broad perspective, the oldest foundations of the idea that Japan can be a development model for our country are based on the state policies of the Ottoman Empire. In Turkey, the idea of the Japanese Development Model, which has created discussion platforms since the 1950s, has become a popular judicial concept by providing political and political support, especially in the 1980s. Along with this study, it examines the economic relations of Turkey and Japan through the Japanese Modernization in the context of the idea of the Japanese Development Model in historical processes. In this context, it covers the said problems and solution proposals, investment areas, agreements and protocols through Turkey-Japan economic relations by adding Japanese modernization and Western relations to the integrity of the subject.

Abstract

Geniş perspektifte tarihsel süreçler irdelendiğinde, Japonya’nın ülkemiz için kalkınma modeli olabileceği düşüncesinin en eski temelleri Osmanlı İmparatorluğu devlet politikalarından yer almaktadır. Türkiye’de ise 1950’lerden itibaren tekrar tartışma platformları hazırlayan Japon Kalkınma Modeli düşüncesi, özellikle 1980’lerde politikasal ve siyasi destekler sağlayarak popüler bir yargısal kavram haline dönüşmüştür. Bu çalışma ile birlikte, Japon Kalkınma Modeli fikri bağlamında Japon Modernleşmesi üzerinden Türkiye ve Japonya ekonomik ilişkilerini tarihsel süreçler içerisinde irdelemektedir. Bu çerçevede ise Japon modernleşmesi ve Batı ilişkilerini konu bütünlüğüne katarak, Türkiye-Japonya iktisadi ilişkileri üzerinden söz konusu sorunları ve çözüm önerilerini, yatırım alanlarını, anlaşma ve protokolleri kapsamaktadır.
